about
We are as powerless as a spec of dust in this universe. But still, we behave like we are something more. And we do so with a complete lack of respect and zero humility. We devour ourselves.
lyrics
This is the way of the world
This is the way to get lost
There is a darkness rising up
Your prayers won’t help, there is no God
We think we own everything
But we are nothing but a blink
…of an eye.
Time has a mind of its own
Space is not a place to call home
I still don’t think you understand
That lack of love will eat you up
We think we own everything
But we are nothing but a blink
We really don’t own anything
We are just emperors of nothing
…but dust.

Furious thrash influenced trad metal with memorable hooks, soaring vocals, and excellent guitar tone and playing. Should appeal to power metal fans, as well as people who kind of dabble in that genre (i.e., me). A late addition to my list of favorite 2021 releases. Angelo

What is there to say that hasn't already been said about this album? A bombastic blend of NWOTHM with just the right touch of power metal. While Avenger's a damn solid song, the title track is an absolute killer! caffeinatedmetalhead

This is one of those "every time I listen I have a new favorite track" kind of albums. It wastes no time and has no riff that doesn't serve a purpose, and that purpose is to rock. Every time I tell someone new about the band, I can list off a different set of 3-5 similar artists, yet Khirki don't sound exactly like any of them. This is an album that will go down in history as a true standout of the year, and I can't wait to hear what the band do next. maddesthatter
